In celebration of National Volunteer Week 12-18 May 2008 TaskForce volunteers enjoyed lunch and recognition for their contribution to the community on behalf of the organisation.
The employment services division of TaskForce turns 10. Working Edge was established in May 1998. In these past 10 years, the Working Edge team has provided its programs and services largely out of our Prahran site.
This year, with successful bids for new service contracts in other areas, we have established new sites: in Northcote, in Cranbourne, and most recently in Franskton.
Working Edge has run a variety of employment serivices in its 10 year history including a number of initiatives aimed at getting people back into employment and education.
Most significantly, Working Edge was able to assist well over 1000 people in achieving positive and lasting outcomes through ongoing and new contracts.

Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA) has granted funding to TaskForce to build capacity to better identify and treat people with dual diagnosis.
"This is a very exciting opportunity" said Denis Carroll (General Manager - Clinical Services). He added "A significant number of our clients have dual diagnosis concerns and this funding will enable us to better meet their needs. "
TaskForce has secured funding from the Grosvenor Settlement and ACFE which is being used to provide training and education for young disengaged kids. "Youth Express combines Life Skills with accredited training and a recreational program. This program is aimed at bridging the gap and reconnecting young people back into education and training.
